Fancy Dress Party @ Retro House

Where to begin? Well, some exchange students living off campus decided they were going to throw a fancy dress party. It sounded pretty fun, so me and my housemate Lisa decided to go to Chadstone Shopping Centre to see what we could find. I decided pretty early that i was going to be a made up, nerdy superhero, and the whole house jumped on board. So we ended up stealing children's capes from Toys 'R' Us and getting markers to write on them etc. I also thought it'd be funny if we did the cliche' of wearing guys pants on top of our leggings/trousers...so here is me trying some on in Kmart...

Anyway, so we bought them and got them home and Lisa wrote 'Super Slut' on them as that was going to be her alter-ego, and then at the last minute she chickened out and decided to go as a devil instead, and by devil i mean she wore devil horns and thats it....Our other housemates bailed too, as Sami and Becca decided to go as Wonder Woman(s) after buying t-shirts from the kids section in Kmart...which they surprisingly fit into! And then Julie decided she was going at all. So i opted against the pants as the top was so long you couldn't see them and it looked ridiculous, okay even more ridiculous with it tucked in. So here are our costumes...

So after having a bit of a photo session we decided it was time to leave. So we made our way to the party. Some people had some really cool and inventive costumes including 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles', an Ipod, and Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Here are some photos from the night...
